Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Bento Bundle app ("Bento", "the app") for Shopify, published by Tantallon Gate Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom (tantallongate.com). By installing or using Bento, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not install the app.
1. What Bento does
Bento lets a Shopify merchant create product bundles, bulk (buy-more, save-more) discounts, and gift-with-purchase offers, and displays them on the merchant's storefront. Bento applies the discount the merchant configures, at checkout, through Shopify's own discount system.
2. Eligibility and accounts
To use Bento you must have an active Shopify store and the authority to install apps on it. You are responsible for keeping your Shopify account secure and for everything done through your store with the app.
3. Licence to use
While your subscription is active and you comply with these terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Bento for your own store. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the app's source or functions except as allowed by law.
4. Your promotions and pricing
You are responsible for the bundles, discounts, and offers you set up, including their prices, the products included, and any legal requirements that apply to selling or advertising them. Bento applies the settings you choose. It is your responsibility to review that a promotion behaves as intended, including how it interacts with other discounts you run. Bento gives you controls (for example, whether offers combine with bundle or bulk discounts) but the final promotional setup is yours.
5. Billing
Bento is billed through Shopify Billing. Plan prices and any free trial are shown on the app's Shopify App Store listing and inside the app. Charges appear on your Shopify invoice. If you downgrade or uninstall, features tied to a higher plan stop, and Bento removes the discounts it manages so they no longer apply. Shopify's refund and billing rules apply to charges made through Shopify.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Bento to:
- break any law, or Shopify's own terms and policies;
- interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the app or its infrastructure;
- misrepresent pricing or discounts to your customers.
7. Availability
We work to keep Bento running reliably but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, change, or temporarily suspend the app to maintain or improve it. We are not responsible for downtime caused by Shopify, hosting providers, or other services outside our control.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost sales arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Termination
You can stop using Bento at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify admin. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms. On uninstall, Bento removes the discounts it manages and your data is deleted in line with our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves. We will update the date at the top, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
